  • Peter Köck remains Chief Financial Officer - Executive Board team continues successful path

Linz 01 March 2022. VA Intertrading AG (VAIT), Austria's leading trading house based in Linz, is bringing Peter Hennebichler (40) on board as Chief Operating Officer as of March 1, 2022. Hennebichler, an experienced manager who was most recently Corporate Director for Sales & Marketing at Agrana Beteiligungs-AG, will take over the management board agendas for the trading divisions Agro Commodities & Logistics, Agricultural Machinery, Pharma and Steel & Raw Materials from Nils Krage, who will let his mandate expire at the end of March 2022 and move on to new challenges.

Continuation of successful strategy

Krage successfully steered the company through very challenging times together with CFO Peter Köck and is leaving VAIT on the best of terms. In particular, he was responsible for reorganizing VAIT's organizational structure across the entire trading business and excellently managing the adversities caused by the COVID pandemic that affected the entire environment. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Florian Hagenauer: "Nils Krage has positioned VAIT well over the last 3 years together with Peter Köck. We regret his decision and wish him all the best for his future tasks. At the same time, we are pleased to have found an experienced, prudent manager in Peter Hennebichler, who will continue to shape VAIT's successful path together with Peter Köck."

VAIT CFO Peter Köck: "I would also like to thank Nils Krage. We have succeeded in refocusing our company in times of the pandemic and making it more effective. We have streamlined the structure and are generating positive figures in all areas. I am looking forward to continuing on this path with my colleague Hennebichler.

Peter Hennebichler: "VAIT is an interesting, well-positioned company. I am looking forward to my task and thank the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me. Together with our employees, we will continue the pioneering spirit of VAIT "We trade. Worldwide" and further develop the company in international marketplaces.
